Surf-Lines Demo & 'Have a Go' Day
20/04/2012

This year's
Surf-Lines Demo Event on Saturday 28th April promises to be even bigger and more fun than last year.
As well as the opportunity to try out the latest kayaks, canoes and wetsuits, there'll be a series of 'Have a Go' Adventure Gym sessions running throughout the day - all for FREE.
The Adventure Gym activities include swimming, running, pilates and yoga. For those taking part in the Snowdonia Slateman there'll be the chance to swim the distance and run the course.
If you've ever thought you'd like to try out a paddle sport now's your chance. The packed programme also includes an Introduction to Kayaking, Choosing a Sea Kayak, Try Stand Up Paddle Boarding and a Rescue Skills Workshop, all run by qualified Surf-Lines staff. There'll be a safety boat on Llyn Padarn keeping an eye on proceedings throughout the day.
The day kicks-off at 9.30 a.m. if you've already registered. The last boat/wetsuit demo is at 3.30 p.m. There's plenty for the youngsters as well with an Under-16s Fun Kayak Session (Paddle Pirates) and a Kids Swim. Under-8s need to be accompanied by an adult for these sessions.

It's a chance to try out the latest kit from brands including: Dagger, Wilderness Systems, Mad River, Islander, Valley, Big Dog, North Shore, Ocean Kayak, Old Town, Necky, Epic Kayaks plus wetsuits from Orca and Aquasphere. If you are looking to buy a boat the event is a great opportunity to try before you buy and Surf-Lines will be offering 15% off everything in store and all boat orders on the day.
Zac Laraman from
Snowdonia Sports Medicine will be giving an injury prevention talk in the afternoon and Gallt y Glyn of Pizza'n'Pint fame will be there with a Bar-B-Q to keep everyone fed.
