Project Wild Thing
is a documentary film led movement to get kids (and their folks) outdoors and engaging with the natural world. David Bond's concerns over his children's screen dependence inspired him to make the film. He decided it was time to get back to nature.
The feature-length film's theme of reconnecting kids with nature was enthusiastically and widely picked-up by the media
Writing in the Guardian, Peter Bradshaw, gave it four out of five stars and said: "This Spurlock-esque attempt to tear kids away from their iPads and get them to embrace nature is entertaining and wholly admirable."
This screening is brought to you free of charge by Snowdonia-Active. We'll be taking donations on the night to support the work of The North Wales Environmental Outdoor Charter Group
, a project which unites outdoor activity providers who wish to ensure the sustainable development of the outdoor sector through education of and addressing environmental issues affecting the sector.
Filmmakers David Bond and Ashley Jones had been developing, writing and shooting the film for two years before attracting further funding through a Kickstarter
campaign. You can find out all about Project Wild Thing on their website
