The inaugural Essential Sea Kayak Festival is taking place from 20th - 22nd October based at Anglesey Outdoors (Porth Dafarch). It is a three day celebration of the sport featuring a wide range of coaching sessions, workshops, tours and presentations.

As you'd expect from a world-class sea kayaking venue such as Anglesey, a large number of very experienced and highly qualified sea kayak coaches have chosen the area as their home. Many of these will be working during the festival running the coaching programme that really has something for everyone - ranging from Discover Sea Kayaking if you're new to the sport to those looking to learn more about paddling in challenging open sea conditions.

Event organiser, Nick Cunliffe, said: "It was an easy decision to base it on Anglesey because of the good accessibility to a wide variety of locations, giving us options for all levels of ability. We've got a great coaching team and if you're looking to take your paddling to the next level then this is an ideal opportunity to extend your comfort zone."

A special offer as part of the event, is a two-day Introduction to Sea Kayaking, with equipment provided for £100; only 12 places are available for this course so you'll have to book early if you're interested.
