A brand new mountain biking event in the forest that was the first to be developed for the sport in the UK and where trail expansion continues to this day. The
Coed y Brenin (CyB) Enduro event is being organised by the same team from
Summit Cycles, who are responsible for the ever-popular Dyfi Enduro, so you just know it's going to be good.
As well as some of the features on the way-marked trails that the forest is famous for, the organisers are promising the course will include single track that few, bar the locals, will have ridden before. This is a non-competitive endurance challenge event where you can go as fast or as steady as you like, although your time will be recorded.
There are two routes to choose from, 30 kms and 60 kms, with feed stations, marshals and first aid posts along the way. The cost to enter is £25 and there is a limit of 500 riders.
As well as sponsors prizes awarded at random as riders cross the finishing line, the first 400 riders to enter (and finish!) the event will receive a Howies CyB Enduro tea/whisky mug.
